Our class is well underway! We are rockin' and rollin' and movin' and groovin'! As we enter into our second month of school, we find ourselves with many new and exciting things going on! I hope you will all be able to attend our Open House on Tuesday, September 1st at 6:30pm. There is a lot of information to share and many questions will be answered. This year Big Shanty is also holding our first annual Science Fair! If your child is interested in participating in the science fair, please have them pick up a packet from me at school. We hope to have a great turn out this year!
One very important concern right now is the health of our students. We are working hard to wash down desks, wash hands, not share food, and use hand sanitizer. Please keep your child at home if he/she is ill. I send 3-5 kids to the clinic each day complaining of illness. I know as a parent it is difficult to stay home from work, but the many illnesses in our school are spreading quickly and we all need to be apart of the solution.Thank you!
Finally, a few reminders. Please check your child's agenda every night to make sure they have completed all their homework. Remember to review and sign their Thursday Folder each week and please send your child with a healthy snack each day. I hope you have a wonderful week and hope to see you at Open house!
