Class News
v The Big Shanty Spring Carnival is tomorrow, April 17. Please send in one 12 pack of cokes to be donated for the festival. Also, a HUGE thank you to all of the moms that are baking cakes for the event, especially Mrs. Swancy who has organized it all. She brought in the most beautiful basket for our class! Hope to see you all there!
v Wednesday, a bright yellow sheet went home discussing all things CRCT. The full sheet will be on my blog, but the basic rundown is nothing new: to make sure that your child does their very best, please make sure that they get a full night’s rest, a good breakfast, get to school on time with two snacks (just in case, but one for sure) and a good attitude. Thanks so much for your help in this matter!
v In Thursday Folders is a flyer for any girls interested in volleyball. Check it out and sign up if you are interested.
v Also in Thursday Folders today is a “
Brunswick
Ball
Pass
” that gives each student a free game of bowling.
Get ready! You can do it!
Just a Reminder:
v Extra last-minute practice is available! Log on each night to see how your child performs while taking practice tests. I have created several tests online for the practice CRCT that your student can be doing at home. Your student knows where to go, what to look for, and what to do. Please be practicing these tests with your children. Your child will have their GA test ID and the password to logon to: www.georgiaoas.org to access the practice tests at home.
v Please send in two stamps so that I can mail your child’s report card home. J Parents who don’t send in stamps will be able to pick their child’s report card up at the front office after school is over.
v Fill out your Reading Log every night!
v Do all of your homework at home so that you don’t get stuck doing it at lunch, for recess, or having double homework the next night!
Reading
Hint for the Week:
Make it your goal to COMPLETE your reading log this month! It is so short, and that makes it super easy. I want to see every student get a free pizza for the month of April!
Math Hint for the Week:
Take an online practice test every night. If you just do one a night, you will be preparing yourself for the CRCT more than you know!
Dates to Remember:
