Class News

v      Our class’ “Winter Party” will be held on Thursday, December 18^th at

 

1:15pm. I hope you will be able to stop by for this wonderful event.

v      The information about our class book exchange was sent home in last

 

week’s Thursday Folder. The book exchange will take place at our Winter

 

Party. Books are due on or before December 16^th.

v      Math compacting ends next week. The post test will be given on Tuesday,

 

 December 16^th. The new compacting session will begin on January 6^th.

v      Due to a shortened school month, we will not be having a book report for

 

 the month of December. Each student needs to still be reading each night

 

for 20 minutes and recording it in their Reading Log.

Just a Reminder:

v     Every Friday is school spirit day! Wear your spirit wear on Fridays! Spirit wear can be ordered from PTA.

v     I send home failing test grades to be corrected. Please review these tests

 

 with your students and sign that you have seen the test. I only allow one

 

night to make up these tests. It is very important that the tests come back

 

corrected the next day.

v     You can find a complete list of AR books on the school website if your child

 

 is at home and would like to know if a book qualifies for AR.

v January 5^th-                         Teacher Workday-NO SCHOOL!

v January 26^th-30^th-               Early Dismissal for Conferences

Reading Hint for the Week:

Each student must finish a chapter book before December 19^th. They also

 

must take an AR test on it before the break begins. 

Social Studies Hint for the Week:

Ask your students the difference between the New England, Middle, and

 

Southern colonies. They should be able to tell you!
