Open House

We have had a great first few weeks. Please remember to send a sweater or light jacket to school. Some of the children get cold in the room and we want them to focus on the activity without dictractions. If you would like to donate items for the class to use while playing outside, velcro mitts or rubber balls would be appreciated. Please remember to check your child's binder for homework each night.

Spelling tests are every Friday and other subject test dates will be announced.

Please enjoy your long weekend and remember to continue to read the Fry Phrase List with your child.

Welcome Back!

What a great first week we had and we are looking forward to a wonderful school year. It is exciting to be co-teaching Science and Social Studies with Mrs. Puckett in the afternoons. I would like to reminded parents to check Thursday folders each Thursday and sign them. Parents you may want to send a sweater to school with your child each day or one to leave at school as they sometimes get cold when they are working in the classroom. I am delighted to be working with each of you and your children this year.

For extra reading practice at home you may go to www.Starfall.com and let your child read the fiction or nonfiction stories. Please ask your child "wh" ( why, what, when, where, and who) comprehension questions about the story.

Review all the Touch Points for the numbers 1-9. There is a guide in their notebook. This method will greatly improve your child's computational skills.
