April 21-24: CRCT (start practicing NOW for it)
We are currently studying the Roosevelts. We are learning double digit multiplication using many strategies. We will begin our unit on magnets next week.
We are working hard reviewing old material and learning new material to preprare for CRCT. If you would like to help your child prepare check out the websites I have been posting. Also, check out other third grade teacher's sites. There are lots of great resources on the web to review. Don't forget Study Island! It is a wonderful place to practice their skills.

This nine weeks we are studying fractions and decimals in Math. We have begun Habitats in Science. We will begin next week in Social Studies with Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. We have some exciting units this nine weeks!
We will also begin reviewing for CRCT on Fridays. Please continue to review Math facts and Fry phrases. I am adding some cool sites for Habitats. ENJOY!!!

Thank you to all the parents who helped with our Holiday Celebrations. Thank you for all the supplies that have been sent in. I am adding a site for the students' use over the holidays. It is Study Island. They need to use their password and user ID from school. I am sending the information home with each student. Please encourage your child to use this wonderful program. It is to help prepare for the state assessments.
