TARGET CLASSES MEET ON CRCT DAYS - Target classes will meet on CRCT testing days.  Students should bring all thier materials, and be prepared to come to class with homework completed.  I will come to individual classrooms to collect students after the testing session for the day is over.

Third Grade Occupation Presentations- Information about the presentations/speeches has been sent home.  Parents are invited to attend the speeches.  Please ask your student to share this information with you.  Presentations will start at 8:30 in Mr. McAllister's Cassroom.  The dates are: Friday Class 4/18

Above and Beyond Opportunity

LEGO Creation Nation 2nd Annual Creativity Awards

The second annual LEGO Creativity Awards will give five children between 6 and 13 years old $5,000 each to nurture and celebrate their individual passions.  Students are asked to write an essay telling about a time when they were creative at home, at school, or in their community and to explain how it made them feel.  Essays lengths are determined by age. (Ages 6-9 at least 100 words no more than 150 words; Ages 10 - 13 at least 150 words but no more than 300)

Mr. McAllister Gets Things "Cranked Up" For The New Year

Open House for Parents of New Target Students will be held Thursday 1/10/08 at 7:30 7:00 AM in the Big Shanty Media Center.  Mrs. Burke and I will be presenting information about the Target program and will be available to answer questions you might have.

Cranking Up Trolly Target classes will resume and begin for new students on Tuesday January 8th

3rd Grade = Money Matters  Essential Questions: 1. How does learning about economics affect the financial decisions in your life in the future?  2. In what way does economics play a role in life? 3. How do issues of economics influence choices?

4th & 5th Grade = Gadgets & Gizmos & Robotics Essential Questions:  1.How does robotics impact society?  2. How can math and scientific principles be applied to robotics?  3. How does inquiry based research assist in solving problems?


Sites Along the Way

  • Target progress reports will be given out with report cards on Friday 1/11/08 when you attend your child's conference with his/her homeroom teacher.
  • New students to Target will not be given a Target progress report until the end of the 3rd marking period.
