We had a Guidance lesson this week. We learned the importance of listening to directions on assignments.
In Math, we have been reviewing for our end of the third nine weeks Individual Math Inventory (IMI). We will take this test March 11 and 12. Next, we will begin reviewing our multiplication facts again as we move into multiplying two digit numbers. Please continue to go over multiplicationfacts at home with your child.
In Social Studies, we have been learning about Frederick Douglass. We have compared his efforts towards civil rights to the efforts of Martin Luther King, Jr. We have researched online and read text about Douglass’ quest for liberty. We are continuing to work on timelines of other important American figures in the computer lab. We will focus on Susan B. Anthony next when we research as a class.
We have been working on our comprehension strategies in reading. We are currently learning about the story elements of fiction. We are also learning about action verbs and state of being verbs.
