We have had fun with “How to …” writing activities. In groups, we wrote instructions on how to make a peanut butter sandwich and then tried to follow them. We followed instructions on how to wrap a present. Now students are writing their own “How To…” paragraph aboujt something they know how to do.
In math, we have decorated our “geome-tree” with ornaments/crafts which show the characteristics of triangles, circles, and quadrilaterals.
We also started to use the website www.studyisland.com on the laptop computers. Each student uses their username and password to receive individualized practice and instruction in reading skills.
