Gremlins,
Remember that I gave you homeschool assignments for Tuesday if Mr. Sanderson closed the school because of the weather. He did, so you have work to do!
To summarize, everyone has their regular Monday homework: a chapter to read for homework tonight and the literature journal entry to do and the Words Their Way spelling sort homework for Monday (tonight). These are the usual assignments.
For Tuesday, you need to read the next chapter and do the Tuesday literature homework and the Tuesday Words Their Way Homework. You also need to login to www.skillstutor.com and work for 10-15 minutes.
Now comes the fun part. Please go to my previous blog entry and find the blank weather 1 or 2 template. (ALP-you must do #2) If you choose to do #2, print out #1 for content reference. Watch the weather channel or go to weather.com and get the statistics to fill in the blanks and write your story. Please do not peek at the meteorologists' predictions, but make one of your own. Bring your story to school, illustrated, on Wednesday. If you have trouble fitting this on one page, shrink the font! (We went over the blog at the end of school today.)
Extra Credit: Research weather folklore and decide on one saying that fits your statistics. You may include this in your story. (We looked at some sayings at the end of the day today.)
Sleep in and enjoy some scrumptious, unhurried breakfast and I'll see you as soon as the school opens!
Oh, Carrot is home safely with me!
