Big Shanty Carnival

Tomorrow, Friday, April 17th is the Big Shanty Carnival! Come out and celebrate the 40th anniversary of our school! The carnival will begin at 5:30.  There will be jumpers, games and food!  So come out and enjoy a family fun night before the stress of testing next week! 

Win with the Braves!!!

Do you like going to Braves games? Do you like getting in for free?  Then be sure to have your child come to school every day of testing!

Every student that has perfect attendance during testing week will receive 2 free Braves tickets!!!

So come to school, do your best on the test and win with the Braves!

CRCT TESTING!!!!

Next week is the week we have ALL been working for! We will be taking the CRCT next week!  The schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday, April 21st ~ Reading
• Wednesday, April 22nd ~ Language Arts
• Thursday, April 23rd ~ Math
• Friday, April 24th ~ Science
• Monday, April 27th ~ Social Studies

TESTING WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 8:10!

Please be sure to follow these tips during testing:

• Be sure to go to bed early and get a good night's rest
• Eat a healthy breakfast either at home or at school
• Come to school on time!
• Save all arguments until after testing
• Play, relax, enjoy your afternoons and evenings
• Stay calm!
• Do your BEST!

We have worked so hard this year! We are going to do well! Be sure to praise and encourage your child every day!

Report Cards

Report cards will go home today, Thursday, March 19th! Be sure to ask your child for his/her report card! Please sign the signature card, place 2 stamps on the envelope and return the envelope and signature card by Monday, March 23rd.  Please DO NOT seal the envelopes.

It's a Zoo in here!

The ZOO trip is finally here!  We will be leaving Wednesday, March 25th at 5:00 p.m. for our overnight zoo trip.  Please be sure to double check the items needed and pack only the necessary items.  I will be checking all bags on Wednesday morning.  There will be no binders on Wednesday and Thursday.  Only a homework folder and the agenda will go home!  We are extremely excited!  Remember to drop off your child by 4:30 in Mrs. Gerhardt's room!

Spring Picture Day

Wednesday, March 18th is Spring picture day.  All students will take a class photo.  Students will only take individual pictures should you choose to purchase a picture package.  Don't forget to wear your favorite outfit and say cheese!

   

Daylight Savings Begins!

  Sunday, March 8th, marks the beginning of daylight savings!  Don't forget to SPRING your clocks forward 1 hour!

I would like to say many great thanks for all the teacher appreciation gifts!  I am so lucky to have such a wonderful class this year and it truly touched my heart with all the lovely notes and gifts!  It has been a wonderful year thus far and I am so proud of the growth your children have made.  It seems like just yesterday, they were walking into the front door of Seussville.  We still have 9 weeks of school, and we will keep moving forward, preparing for the next year. 

I have thoroughly enjoyed having your children this year and can't wait to see what more they will learn!
