Important Links

Here you can find some important links to many of the websites we use in class as well as CRCT prep!

Study Island - Use the same log in here as you do to log into the computers at school

Georgia Online Assessment - CRCT prep - Your log in code is a long number, see the form you were given at during conferences or your green card. Your password is education.

Uboost - Weekly Reader - This is the link that goes with your weekly reader. Your log in for most of you is your first name and last initial (mandyc). The password is Cannon - you have to use a capital C or it will not work!

I will add more links that we use frequently if needed!

Happy Friday!

Well, we have made it through our first week back! This week in class I shared about a website that is a very good resource to use for CRCT prep! This is a website that the school purchased for our class and a few others! I hope you take the opportunity to utilize this great tool! The link to the site is Study Island. Your student can access this at home and school. After school hours there are also games that can be played as well! Their log in code and password is the same code they use to log into the computers at school. I will give you a card at conferences with their log in information as well. As always if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask! I hope to see you all at your scheduled conference times! Have a restful weekend! ~ Ms. Cannon

2008 Already?!?

January_clipart That's right! January is here. The holidays are over and now its back to school! We hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing holiday break! Being able to spend that time with friends and family is always nice!

School starts back tomorrow and we aren't going to skip a beat. There are many important events happening this second half of the school year! Please be sure to make every effort to be at school and on time everyday. We have yet to get a full week of perfect attendance!

Things happening this week at school -

Tuesday - we will start our new units in math. Some of us have new teachers, most of us will stay with the same teacher. Please be sure to ask your student about their new math teachers. Our focus this nine weeks begins with number theories and moves into fractions! Please, please, please continue to work on your multiplication and division facts. Knowing these will make fractions a whole lot easier!

Also going home on Tuesday will be your scheduled conference times. Please sign and return these ASAP! Conference week is January 22-28th!

Friday - Report cards go home! Our school spelling bee will be at 8:00am. Please be sure to wish Cheyenne good luck!

December's Happenings!

December_clipart

I can't believe its already December! This year is really flying past! Even though it is getting closer to the holidays please remember we still have 3 more weeks of school before the holidays. With that being said, we are beginning to have a large number of students who are tardy or absent. We are in the 18th week of school and we still have not had a whole week of perfect attendance! School starts at 7:50. Please try to have your student here by then. We begin academic learning as soon as announcements are over.

We would like to congratulate our class spelling bee winner - Cheyenne!!! Cheyenne will represent our class at the school spelling bee in January. Nyla is our runner up, so if for some reason Cheyenne cannot compete Nyla will take her place. We would also like to congratulate Nyla for being our class geography bee winner. Josiah is our runner up! Congratulations!!!

Our class holiday party will be on Wednesday, December 19th at 1:15. Mrs. Howard and Mrs. Dichiara are busy planning our party! We are excited to see what they have in store. At our party we will be stuffing our stockings with gifts from our classmates. Please bring in your stocking to hang on your chairs! We already have a few and they look so festive!!  J0297037
