What's NXT? 5th Grade News!

Fifth graders are now demonstrating and using all of our "NXT knowledge" to build and program our robot to successfully perform challenge missions on our Lego table.  It is exciting to see that many groups have been able to combine missions, work together and continue to improve their robot's design. 

As part of our end of unit celebration, we will have a friendly competition.  On Monday, Dec. 1st and Friday, Dec. 5th, our classes will compete against Mr. McAllister's classes in our very first, "Robo Rally Burke vs. McAlli."  We will follow all of the First Lego League Rules.  Links and information can be found on Mr. McAllister's blog.  Each team will have 2.5 minutes to complete as many missions as they can to earn as many possible points.  Awards will be given for teamwork, design, programming and creativity.  Good luck teams!
